We recognize the significant effort expended on the part of your city to prepare an application. Your city was not selected to be a participant in this program because of the significant progress your city has already made in improving its overall energy efficiency. We commend your city and its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, but the CEMP program is focusing on cities that have more areas in which to improve for their efficiency. However, as a result of the demand for the program, IEDA would like to invite your city to participate in a parallel version of this technical assistance program called CEMP-Lite. While we will not be able to provide you with a regional energy manager, staff from IEDA will work with your city and assist you in joining the Iowa Public Building Benchmarking program, developing a city energy advisory team, and contacting your utilities for an audit. If you would like to participate in CEMP-Lite or would like to discuss the CEMP review process, please contact Paritosh Kasotia at paritosh.kasotia@iowa.gov or 515-725-0434.
