Subject: Sidewalks on 7FK
To the City Council and Mayor:
For the safely and convenience of residents on the West End near Eisenhower school, please give your full
consideration to the proposal to install sidewalks on JFK Road between Asbury and the Northwest Arterial and to
the newly installed bike path. Sidewalks in this area will promote safer biking and walking for the area's residents.
As you know, healthy living includes daily exercise and to promote that among community members is key. In
terms of safety, just yesterday I witnessed a biker coming off of the path and right into traffic which could have
ended in disaster. If there is anything we as a community can do to advocate safety and promote the health and
well-being of its residents, you must find the time and resources to help with this matter.
Please give your full consideration to the petition residents have signed and is now being brought before you by
Jan and Bill Stoffel. They are to be commended for their efforts in helping the residents of this area advocate for
sidewalks to be installed.
