SUBJECT: Calendar Year 2007 Pavement Marking Program
Sealed bids were received on May 11, 2007, for the Calendar Year 2007 Pavement
Marking Program. City Engineer Gus Psihoyos is recommending award to the only
bidder, Selco, Inc., in the amount of $60,274.10.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: Calendar Year 2007 Pavement Marking Program
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memorandum is to request City Council authorization for the City
Manager to enter into a service contract with Selco, Inc. of Dubuque, Iowa, for the Calendar
Year 2007 Pavement Marking Program.
DISCUSSION
The Calendar Year 2007 Pavement Marking Program involves the centerlines, lane lines,
and edge lines, as well as transverse markings including arrows, crosswalks, and other
associated symbols, markings and curb markings throughout the City of Dubuque.
Removal of existing pavement markings may also be required.
BID RESULTS
Sealed bids were received on the project on May 11, 2007. Selco, Inc. of Dubuque, Iowa,
submitted the only bid in the amount of $60,274.10. This amount of 2.32% under the
engineer's estimate of probable costs.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into a service
contract with Selco, Inc. of Dubuque in the amount of $60,274.10 for the Calendar Year
2007 Pavement Marking Program.
