Leisure Services Manager Gil Spence is recommending City Council approval of the
plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated cost in the amount of $46,000 for
the Grand River Center Carpet Replacement Project.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memorandum is to request the City Council hold a public hearing on
the Grand River Center Carpet Replacement Project.
DISCUSSION
The FY 2008 C.I.P. budget contains $45,000 for replacement of the carpet in the main
travel areas on the second and third levels of the Grand River Center. An alternate bid
is requested for the carpet leading to the exhibit hall.
BUDGET IMPACT
The estimate of probable cost is as follows:
construction contract $ 45,000
design 1,000
$ 46, 000
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend that the City Council approve the plans, specifications, form of contract
and the estimated cost for the Grand River Center Carpet Replacement Project.
ACTION STEP
The City Council is requested to approve the plans, specifications, form of contract and
the estimated cost for the Grand River Center Carpet Replacement Project.
