The project will increase the safety of students who walk or bicycle to school and increase the health of students by offering them a safer route to school. Furthermore, the project will provide a safe enviromnent for pedestrian traffic, and will result in continuity and connectivity of bicycle and pedestrian trails in our community. The City of Asbury respectfully requests the enclosed resolution to be placed on the agenda of your next regularly scheduled meeting for consideration and approval. The recognizes that the citizens of the community can receive an improved quality of life from completion of such a project and that the project will support community growth.
