We received a call from Marilyn Hillard @ 2826 Muscatine St @ 6:30 PM, since we were out of town. The pipe had broke above their house and water was running down into our property. We came home to find it still running and in our basement and property. It continued to run a total of 4 hours... as far as we could see it was only our property that was damaged. We would like you to take a look at our pictures and see just what was happening. We would like to be compensated for our time, for clean up, our furnace and air -conditioner check, and grass seed bill to reseed the lawn where the clay is sitting. We talked to a city worker after it was running for a few hours and said that someone should sand bag and divert the water from coming into our lot. After another 45 minutes of the water running sand bags were put out and the water stopped coming into our property. Thanks for your consideration. Sincerely, James D.
