CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION

1. Approve Minutes of April 16, 2007
Duehr moved to approve the minutes of April 16, 2007. Seconded by
Wertzberger, passed unanimously.
2. Communication from Patricia Ostrander Requesting a Hearing by the Civil
Service Commission
Duehr moved to receive and file the communication and to schedule the hearing
for Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Conference Room A of City Hatl.
Seconded by Wertzberger, passed unanimously with all parties agreeing to the
time and date.
3. Request to Schedule Entrance Examination for the Position of Records
Supervisor
Duehr moved to receive and file the communications and to schedule an
entrance examination for the position of Records Supervisor for Tuesday, June
12, 2007 at 6:30 p.m., with an application deadline of 5:00 p.m., June 4, 2007,
and that the examination be open to all current City employees and the general
public and that the list be good for two years. Seconded by V1~ertzberger, passed
unanimously.
4. Discussion Regarding a Police Physical Agility Re-Test for John Hulsizer
Duehr moved to receive and file the communication. Seconded by Wertzberger.
Commission discussed that in the past applicants were required to have a
medical release at the time of the test and not afterward. Motion by Duehr to
deny the request. Seconded by Wertzberger, passed 2-0.
5. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for Position of Confidential
Account Clerk
Duehr moved to receive and file the communications and to establish the passing
point for the position of Confidential Account Clerk at 74 and above correct
answers. Wertzberger seconded, passed 2-0. Duehr moved to certify the list as
read. Seconded by Wertzberger. Motion passed 2-0.
6. Schedule Entrance Examination Date for Position of Laboratory Technician
(Approved as Take-Home Test on January 9, 2007)
Duehr moved to schedule the entrance examination for the position of Laboratory
Technician at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 with the application deadline
being 5:00 p.m. on June 4, 2007. Seconded by Wertzberger. Motion passed 2-0.
A copy of a communication from Dave Baker, Teamsters Union, to Personnel Manager
Randy Peck regarding two potential grievances was distributed to the Commission.
Duehr moved to receive and file the communication and directed that it be placed on the
next Civil Service Commission agenda for discussion. Seconded by Wertzberger.
Motion passed 2-0.
There being no further business, upon motion meeting adjourned at 10:22 a.m.
