SUBJECT: Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of
Dubuque and Teamsters Local No. 120 (Bus Operators)
DATE: December 5, 2014
The current collective bargaining agreement tracks the hours of work for part-time Bus
Operators based on calendar year. With the implementation of the Affordable Care Act,
the City would like to amend the agreement to track the hours of work for part-time Bus
Operators based on the Standard Measurement Period, which is December 1 through
November 30.
Personnel Manager Randy Peck recommends City Council approval of the Amendment
to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Dubuque and Teamsters
Local No. 120 (Bus Operators) effective December 1, 2014.
1 concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

DATE: November 18, 2014
The current collective bargaining agreement tracks the hours of work for part-time Bus
Operators based on calendar year. With the implementation of the Affordable Care Act,
we would like to amend the agreement to track the hours of work for part-time Bus
Operators based on the Standard Measurement Period which is December 1 through
November 30. If approved, the amendment would go into effect on December 1, 2014.
The requested action is for the City Council to approve a motion authorizing you to sign
the amendment.
