Draper 01/14/02 01/01/02 Vehicle Damage This is a claim in which the claimant states that his tire and vehicle were damaged when he hit a large chunk of concrete that was in the middle of Dodge Street. According to the report of Bob Green, Water Plant Manager, there had been a water main break at McCormick and Grace Streets the day of the incident. City department dump trucks had been transporting a load of broken concrete from the water main break site to Molo for dumping. Some concrete accidentally fell from the dump truck while in transit. It is Mr. Green's recommendation that the claim be approved for payment of $629.04. The Legal Department concurs with this recommendation. Draper's Damage Claim Water Department Staff and I have reviewed Mr. Draper's claim. Mr. Draper's car did sustain damage from material that accidentally fell from one of our Department dump trucks when in transit. It is Staffs and my recommendation that this claim be paid.
