MINUTES

MINUTES
The minutes of September 11, 2014, were approved.
ANNUAL REPORT
Total costs for the plan were $6 million. There was a surplus of$770,000, however, included in the
surplus were deposits from the reserve fund. Funds were added to the plan from reserves to cover the
deficit to the plan. There was a $1.5 million plus deficit.
EXCISE TAX
We currently do not trigger for the tax. It does not take into consideration the extra funding added from
the reserves. It is possible that we may be funding too low.
PBM QUARTERLY REPORT
The report shows that the City is still consistent in prescription benefit usage.
HEALTH CARE REFORM
We are on track for what we are required to do.
PLAN YEAR INITIATIVES
We are trying to be sure we are doing what we are supposed to with the Affordable Care Act.
WELLNESS
There is nothing to report.
HOSPITAL REIMBURSEMENT
An arrangement is set with Mercy. The same offer was sent to Finley. We are waiting to hear a
response.
INFORMATION SHARING
Open enrollment packets will be distributed the first week of November.
