SUBJECT: PEG Capital Grant Expenditure Request
Cable TV Coordinator Craig Nowack is recommending approval of the Cable TV Tele-
Programming Commission recommendation for funding from the Public, Educational,
and Government (PEG) Capital Grant for Access Equipment and Facilities in the
amount of $5,500 for Mediacom.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

RE: PEG Capital Grant Expenditure Request
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memorandum is to forward a recommendation from the Cable TV Tele-
Programming Commission to approve a request for funding from the Capital Grant for Access
Equipment and Facilities.
BACKGROUND
The Capital Grant for Access Equipment and Facilities created by the cable franchise
agreement that went into effect on June 5, 2005, began FY08 with a balance of $285,721. The
FY07 4th quarter adjustment most recently added $3,446. Currently there is a balance to be
awarded of $142,020.
This week the Commission recommended a grant of $5,500 for Mediacom for a variety of
equipment for the public access studio including a field monitor, atime-code slate, four field
microphones, two-channel LED meters, and cases for several pieces of field equipment.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
I respectfully request that the Commission's recommendation for this request be forwarded to
the City Council to receive, file, and approve. Thank you.
