National Save for Retirement Week Proclamation
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the cost of retirement continues to rise in the United States and the
need for greater savings growsand

WHEREAS, many employees may not be aware of their retirement savings
options or may not be taking full advantage of their workplace
defined contribution plans to the full extent allowed by lawand
;
WHEREASall workers, including public and private sector employees,
,
employees of tax-exempt organizations and self-employed
individuals can benefit from increased awareness of the need to save
for the retirement.
NOW THEREFORE, I, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA,
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO
HEREBY PROCLAIM THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 21-27, 2007, AS
“NATIONAL SAVE FOR RETIREMENT WEEK”
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA,
