PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Hospice of Dubuque has been touching lives in our community for
over 24 years; and
WHEREAS, during those 24 years, Hospice of Dubuque has cared for more than
20,000 patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families; and
WHEREAS Hospice of Dubuque provides for the physical, emotional, and
,
spiritual needs of the terminally ill and their loved ones; and
WHEREAS Hospice of Dubuque encourages all people to learn more about
,
options of care and to share their wishes with family, loved ones,
and their healthcare professionals.
NOW THEREFORE, I, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA,
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO
HEREBY PROCLAIM THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER, 2007, AS
“NATIONAL HOPSICE MONTH”
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, AND INVITE THE DUBUQUE COMMUNITY TO
BECOME AN EXTENSION OF THESE HELPING HANDS THAT TOUCH THE LIVES
OF OR TRI-STATE NEIGHBORS AT A MOST DIFFICULT AND VULNERABLE TIME.
TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
