07_11_05 Allison Evans Day Proclamation PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, the Iowa American Coed Pageant was held the first weekend of August 2007 in Coraville, Iowa; and WHEREAS, Miss Allison Evans was crowned the first Iowa American Queen in the Coed Division representing Dubuque; and WHEREASwith her title, Allison was honored with other crowned queens at a , Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball game, held bake-sale fund raisers, met the famous Radio City Rockets and also met with Governor Chet Culver; and WHEREASthrough the pageant process, Allison has made many close friends, , gained self-confidence and self-awareness while continuing her education at Loras College and proudly representing our community. NOW THEREFORE, I, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO th HEREBY PROCLAIM THE 5 DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2007, AS “ALLISON EVANS DAY” IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, AND WISH HER GREAT SUCCESS AND UNLIMITED ACHIEVEMENTS DURING HER TERM AS MISS IOWA AMERICAN COED.
