Vehicle Damage
This is a claim in which the claimant alleges that while driving his vehicle, his vehicle
was splattered with paint which claimant alleges was caused by fresh pavement
markings.
According to Gus Psihoyos, City Engineer for the City of Dubuque, this claim pertains to
the 2007 Pavement Marking Project which is being performed by your company. The
improvement contract between Selco, Inc. and the City of Dubuque includes bonds and
insurance, as well as language stating that the contractor shall hold the City harmless
against all claims arising out of the construction project.
It is therefore the recommendation of Gus Psihoyos to refer this claim to Selco, Inc. for
its consideration. The City Attorney's Office concurs with this recommendation.
