NICC SMall Business Director AwardPrintable Format Page I of 1 NICC SMALL BUSINESS DIRECTOR EARNS AWARD Terry Sullivan, Iowa Small Business Development Center director at NICC's Town Clock Center in Dubuque, will receive the Iowa State Star Award Sept. 16-19 in Denver, Co. NICC DISTRICT -Terry Sullivan, Iowa Small Business Development Center director at NICC's Town Clock Center in Dubuque, was named the 2007 Iowa State Star by the Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC). He will be honored at the national ASBDC convention Sept.16-19 in Denver, Co. The Iowa Small Business Development Center conducts research, counsels and trains business people in management, financing, and operating small businesses, and encourages unique local efforts to meet area small business needs in the area. By extending entrepreneurial education, SBDC programs and activities promote and contribute to regional economic growth. According to Wendy Wheelock, executive director ofthe Town Clock Center in Dubuque, "Terry is highly knowledgeable and very skilled at what he does. He is always ready to help or answer a question. Terry has worked tirelessly for the SBDC network, building strong and valuable relationships with Iowa legislators, and our congressmen and senators."
