Chief of Police Kim Wadding recommends approval of the annual liquor license renewal

Street; Grand Harbor Resort, 350 Bell Street; Jumpers Sports Bar & Grill, 2600 Dodge

INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memorandum is to recommend the annual renewal of the above
liquor license establishments and to highlight the calls for service related to incidences
of disturbances, crimes against persons, crimes against property, and public morals
occurring at the business since the last liquor license renewal.
BACKGROUND
Regarding the listed businesses, the following is a summary of activity since their last
renewal. The following key provides a brief description of those calls for service
displaying four areas of concern.

Since the last renewal date there were six calls for service to the business. Of these,
there were no disturbances, one crime against persons, one crime against property, and
no public moral violations. Additionally there were no individual alcohol violations and no
alcohol violations against the business.

distribution of alcohol. Additionally there were no individual alcohol violations and no

Since the last renewal date there were 32 calls for service to the business. Of these,
there was one disturbance, no crimes against persons, 11 crimes against property, and
four public moral violations. Additionally there were five individual alcohol violations for
Public Intoxication and no alcohol violations against the business.

RECOMMENDATION
Based upon a review of the above businesses, we would recommend approval of the
Annual liquor license for Aragon Tap, 1103 Iowa Street; Big 10 Mart, 897 Central
Avenue; Cookin Something Up, 1640 JFK Road; Dubuque Family Restaurant, 2600
Dodge Street; Grand Harbor Resort, 350 Bell Street; Jumpers Sports Bar & Grill, 2600
Dodge Street and Kwik Stop Food Mart, 2320 Highway 61.

Action requested is for City Council consideration to approve the liquor license renewal
for Aragon Tap, 1103 Iowa Street; Big 10 Mart, 897 Central Avenue; Cookin Something

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA:
That the Manager be authorized to cause to be issued the following named applicants a
