RE: Claim Against the City of Dubuque by Kurt Becker
Claimant Date of Claim Date of Loss Nature of Claim
Kurt Becker 10/02/07 09/15/07 Property Damage
This is a claim in which the claimant alleges that while he and his dog were visiting the
City of Dubuque Pet Park on North Grandview Avenue, his dog stepped into a pothole,
hurting its leg.
According to Gil Spence, Leisure Services Manager for the City of Dubuque, the Leisure
Services Department did confirm that there was a pothole in the pet park. It is therefore
the recommendation of Gil Spence to approve this claim for the amount of the submitted
veterinary bill of $38.50. The City Attorney's Office concurs with this recommendation.
