PRESENT: Ron Mueller, Bob Schmidt, Paul Uhlrich, Jim Dixon, Kevin Pfohl,
Dan Hamel, Elaine Reiss.
ABSENT: None
STAFF: Steve Neyens.
MEDIA: None
OTHERS: Anthony Jelinek, Peter Davis, Dennis M. Decker, Ken Menke,
Jason Wallenkamp, Jeff Veach, Cory Heims, Duane Thole.
Jim Dixon called the meeting to order at 4:00 P.M.
Paul Uhlrich moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting and to
accept them as typed. Elaine Reiss seconded. Vote was unanimous in favor of motion.
The board reviewed the test scores and applications of the following applicant:
Anthony Jelinek, Peter Davis, Dennis M. Decker, Ken Menke, Jason Wallenkamp, Jeff Veach.
Bob Schmidt moved to accept all test scores and applications. Paul Uhlrich seconded.
Vote was unanimous in favor of motion.
The board than interviewed the following applicants and results are as follows:
Bob Schmidt moved to approve and issue a new license for Anthony Jelinek -Electrical
Maintenance # 129, Peter Davis -Electrical Journeyman # 522, Dennis M. Decker -Electrical
Journeyman # 523, Ken Menke -Electrical Journeyman # 525, Jason Wallenkamp -
Electrical Journeyman # 524, Jeff Veach -Electrical Journeyman # 521 and Jeremiah Kress -
Electrical Journeyman #526. Paul Uhlrich seconded. Vote was unanimous in favor of motion.
The board reviewed the test score, application, and interviewed Cory Heims.
Cory was informed that he had not met the 8000 hours of journeyman experience that is
detailed on the front page of the application form. His request for license was tabled till he can
provide the required information.
The board reviewed the application, and interviewed Duane Thole.
Duane was informed that he had not met the exam requirements as detailed on the front page
of the application form. His request for license was tabled till he can provide the required
information.
Correspondence report from Staff: Neyens passed out the latest info on the State of
Iowa licensing program.
Unfinished Business: None.
New Business: Information was presented to the board that alleges that a Dubuque
licensed journeyman may be doing electrical work without the required permits and without
requesting any inspections. The board directed staff to send a letter to the journeyman
advising of this allegation and that the board would be looking into the matter further. And to
include information what the consequents could be if this information. where found to be true.
Announcements: All Future Electrical Board Meetings will be in Conference Rm. A.

2008, Mar. 24, 2008, May 27, 2008, July 28, 2008, Sept. 22, 2008, Nov. 24, 2008, Jan. 26,
2009, Mar. 23, 2009, May 26, 2009, July 27, 2009, Sept. 28, 2009, and Nov. 23, 2009.
Motion to adjournment made by Elaine Reiss, Bob Schmidt seconded, vote was all in favor.
