SUBJECT: Deconstruction of 610 Wilbur Street
DATE: July 14, 2015
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Deconstruction
of 610 Wilbur Street Project was awarded on July 14, 2015, to D.F. Excavating, LLC, in
the amount of$21,480.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the Deconstruction of 610
Wilbur Street Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: Deconstruction of 610 Wilbur Street
The Deconstruction of 610 Wilbur Street Project includes total deconstruction of the
structure. The construction debris will be diverted from the landfill as much as possible
with the emphasis on reuse and recycling versus discarding to the landfill. The building
will be removed to the foundation.
The following is a summary of the bids received:
D.F. Excavating, LLC $21,480.00
Ted Stackis Construction $24,950.00
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on July 14, 2015 to D.F. Excavating, LLC of Dubuque, Iowa, in the amount of
$21 ,480.00.
In accordance with the competitive quotation requirements of Iowa Code, Section 26.14,
it is necessary that the award for the Deconstruction of 610 Wilbur Street to be officially
recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
