MEETING MINUTES OF
June 2, 2015
Commissioner Allen called the meeting of the Dubuque Human Rights Commission to order at
6:01 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at the City Hall Annex, 1300 Main Street, Conference Room II,
Dubuque, Iowa.

Closed Session for Deliberation
Commissioner Stone moved pursuant to section 21.5(1)(f) of the Iowa Code, to proceed to closed
session to deliberate a contested case DHRC #4381, Jermaine Stapleton vs. Simon Seeding & Sod.

Commissioner Vaughn moved to accept the modifications to the proposed decision as agreed upon
during deliberations, awarding $4,500 in lost wages; $45,000 for emotional distress; and $31,000 in
attorney fees. Seconded by Commissioner Jackson. Roll call:
