House to set the tax rate at the Dubuque Greyhound Park & Casino at 30%, except for receipts over $70 million. This is a very important issue for the City of Dubuque and the charities in our area. The Dubuque Racing Association has been able to distribute millions of dollars to worthy groups in Eastern Iowa. This amount has begun to dwindle and is projected to all but end when the current tax structure reaches 36%. I believe the current level of taxation will actually put the future viability of the facility at risk, which would end all state, county and city revenues, and end the support given to charities. Representative Eichhorn, I want to thank you for your support and sponsorship of this bill. Sincerely, Michael C.
