Corporation Counsel Barry Lindahl has successfully concluded the City's acquisition of
Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Carter Valley West from Iowa-Northwestern Development
Company for a future stormwater detention facility.

Enclosed is a resolution accepting the deed to Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Carter Valley West
from Iowa Northwestern Development Company. The property was purchased for the
appraised value of $72,000.00. The property is being purchased as a potential site for a
stormwater detention facility on Carter Road.

RESOLUTION NO. 108-02
ACCEPTING THE DEED TO CERTAIN REAL ESTATE IN DUBUQUE COUNTY,
IOWA FROM IOWA-NORTHWESTERN DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
Whereas, the City of Dubuque entered into an Agreement on January 31,
2002 with Iowa-Northwestern Development Company for the purchase of certain
real property in Dubuque County, Iowa, described as follows:
Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Carter Valley West in the City of Dubuque, Dubuque
County, Iowa; and
Whereas, the terms of the Agreement have now been met.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City of Dubuque, Iowa, hereby accepts the Deed from Iowa-
Northwestern Development company, a copy of which is attached hereto.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to record this
Resolution and the Deed with the Dubuque CountY Recorder.
