Discussion
The Dubuque Circles Initiative, along with Crescent Community Health Center, received
the 1st ever Thom Determan S.C.O.P.E. AWARD during the NAACP Freedom Banquet
on November 14t" of 2015. SCOPE stands for: Standout Community Organization
Pursuing Equity.
This award is dedicated to an organization whose work is geared towards helping those
community members who are underrepresented.
Recommendation
Anthony Allan, President of the Dubuque NAACP chapter will present to both Circles
and Crescent Community Health Center with the recognition of the SCOPE award in
front of City Council at the February 15, 2016 City Council meeting.
The request is that Mr. Allen be allowed to present this award to Circles and Crescent
and Community Health Center at the beginning of the next Council meeting.
