SUBJECT: Timber Hyrst Estates #4 Sanitary Sewer North Line Project
DATE: February 9, 2016
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Timber Hyrst
Estates #4 Sanitary Sewer North Line Project was awarded on January 28, 2016, to
Connolly Construction, Inc., in the amount of $51,815.22, which was 16.44% below the
estimate of probable cost.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the Timber Hyrst Estates
#4 Sanitary Sewer North Line Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City
Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: Timber Hyrst Estates #4 Sanitary Sewer North Line Project
The Timber Hyrst Estates #4 Sanitary Sewer North Line Project will extend the sanitary
sewer from the South Fork of Catfish Creek to Timber-Hyrst subdivision Phase #4. There
are two different projects that will serve Timber Hyrst subdivision Phase #4 with sanitary
sewer service, the North and South Line projects.
The following is a summary for the North Line project as follows:

McDermott Excavating $ 68,404.16
Portzen Construction, Inc. $ 79,583.35
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on January 28, 2016 to Connolly Construction, Inc. of Peosta, Iowa, in the
amount of$51,815.22. This amount is 16.44% below the estimate of probable cost.
This portion of the funding will be funded as follows:
