Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Eagle Point
Parking Lot Resurfacing Project was awarded on February 18, 2016, to River City
Paving, in the amount of$79,493.93.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the Eagle Point Parking Lot
Resurfacing Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: Eagle Point Parking Lot Resurfacing Project
DATE: February 22, 2016
The Eagle Point Parking Lot Resurfacing Project will provide for the resurfacing of the
existing parking lot near the tennis courts. The parking lot is showing signs of fatigue and
requires resurfacing. Improvements include spot milling high areas, removing unstable
subbase material and replacing it with aggregate, an overlay of the existing asphalt surface
with 2 '/2" of asphalt mix and pavement markings.
The following is a summary of the bids received for the project:

River City Paving $ 79,493.93
Hamel Parking Lot Service $ 86,867.38
Hansen Asphalt $123,249.75
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on February 18, 2016 to River City Paving of Dubuque, Iowa, in the amount of
$79,493.93.
This portion of the funding will be funded as follows:
