I addressed the council a month ago about Dubuque's increasing poverty rate. I would like to use my expertise and experience
to help the city turn around this worrying trend. As I stated in my application, I believe I would be an effective member of the
commission. My unusual background (retired USAF officer and former division director for Rincon Research Corp in
Tucson) would bring expertise in analysis, goverment contracting, operations and program management to the commission.
Additionally, I have volunteered as an income tax preparer with Operation New View and AARP, attended City Life and
joined Inclusive Dubuque. I look forward to expanding my service to this fine city. Thank you in advance for considering my
