Council met in special ses-
sion at 6:15 p.m. at the Library
Auditorium
Present: Mayor Duggan,
Council Members Buol, Cline,_
Connors, Markham,. Michalski,
Nicholson; City Manager
Michael Van Miliigen
Mayor Duggan read the call
and stated this is a special
session of the City Council
called for the purpose of
discussing various City budg-
ets.
The Airport Department, -
Library Department, and
Water Department budgets
were presented . and dis-
cussed. Council Member
Nicholson stated he would like
the Library Department's
Decision Package 2 of 17
brought back for further dis-
cussion at the final public
hearing. Consensus was not,
reached on this item.
Purchase of Services were
represented: Sue Czeshinski
for the Convention and Visi-
tors Bureau; Dave George for
Dubuque Area Labor Man-
agement Council; Dan LoBi-
anco for Dubuque Main
Street, Ltd.; David Runyon for
Helping Services of Northeast_
Iowa; Steve Jacobs for Proj-
ect Concern (Information and
Referral, Child Care Referral,
and Foster Grandparent Pro-
gram); Rick Dickinson for
Greater Dubuque Develop-
ment Corporation; Myra Ben-
zer for Retired Senior Volun-
teer Program; and Dianne
1 Thomas for Substance Abuse
Services Center.
Bob Woodward, represent-
ing the Grand Opera House,
Dubuque Museum of Art end
Dubuque Symphony Orches-
tra, addressed the Council
requesting funding in the
amount of $50,000 for each
non-profit organization.
There being no further busi-.
ness, upon motion meeting
adjourned at 7:53 p.m.
