WHEREAS, Dubuque is a city known for its spirit of volunteerism and community
price; and
WHEREAS, Young Professionals of Dubuque is an organization in Dubuque
committed to making the city a wonderful place to live, work and
play; and
WHEREAS, Dubuque Days of Caring is a community event where more than 1300
volunteers conduct projects at non profits and other locations
throughout the city; and
WHEREAS, Dubuque Days of Caring benefits not only those non profits but the
entire City of Dubuque.
NOW THEREFORE, I, RIC W. JONES, MAYOR PRO-TEM OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND THE
CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM THE 22T" AND 23T" DAYS OF
APRIL, 2016 AS
"DUBUQUE DAYS OF CARING WEEKEND"
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA.
