Building Resilience for the Extremes Panel
Summit Objective: Catalyze action to build a sustainable water future for the United States.
Panel Objective: Demonstrate that while much attention is paid to drought and flood consequences
much can be done at the State, city, and local levels to build resilience to these extremes. By narrowing
the amplitude of water extremes communities can have fewer disruptions and more reliable use and
access to clean water. Discussing this at the national, State, city, and local levels; participants will gain
insights into the noteworthy practices (e.g. innovation, integrated planning, capacity building,
infrastructure investment/prioritization) for how to build resilience across the country to water
extremes.
