SUMMARY: City Manager recommending approval of an Amendment to
the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of
Dubuque and Teamsters Local No. 120 to provide for a
work week that consists of ten hours per day and four days
per week for the Maintenanceworker, Airfield
Maintenanceworkers and Airport Mechanic assigned to the
Airport Department effective from April 25, 2016 through
September 30, 2016.

Personnel Manager Randy Peck recommends City Council approval of an Amendment
to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Dubuque and Teamsters
Local No. 120 to provide for a work week that consists of ten hours per day and four
days per week for the Maintenanceworker, Airfield Maintenanceworkers and Airport
Mechanic assigned to the Airport Department. The Amendment would be in effect from
April 25, 2016 through September 30, 2016.

1 have attached an amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the
Teamsters Union to provide for a work week that consists of ten (10) hours per day and
four (4) days per week for the Maintenanceworker, Airfield Maintenanceworkers and
Airport Mechanic assigned to the Airport Department. The amended articles are
holidays, casual days, hours of work, overtime and night shift premium pay. The
Amendment would be in effect from April 25, 2016 through September 30, 2016. The
requested action is for the City Council to approve a motion authorizing you to sign the
Amendment.

AMENDMENT
TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO. 120
AND
THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA
The parties hereby agree to amend Article XXII, Holidays, Article XXIII, Casual Days,
Article XXV, Hours of Work, Article XXVI, Overtime and Article XXVII, Night Shift
Premium Pay to provide for a work week that consists of ten (10) hours per day and four
(4) days per week for the Maintenanceworker, Airfield Maintenanceworkers and Airport
Mechanic assigned to Airport Department. Employees will receive eight (8) hours of
pay for each holiday and casual day. One and one half (1%) times the regular rate of
pay shall be paid for hours worked over forty (40) hours per week or ten (10) hours per
day.
This Amendment applies only to the Maintenanceworker, Airfield Maintenanceworkers
and Mechanic assigned to the Airport Department who work a ten (10) hour work day
and it will be in effect from April 25, 2016 through September 30, 2016.
