Services Manager pre- sented a video on the department and intro- duced staff who presented on their " respective divisions. Park Division: Steve Fehasal, Park Division Manager Multicultural Family Center: Sarah Peter- son, Acting Director; the new MFC Director Farris Muhammed was introduced. Americorps/VISTA: Mary Bridget .Corken Deutsch, AmeriCorps Program Coordinator Recreation Division: Dan Kroger, Recreation Division Manager. Five Flags Civic Center: Marie Ware, Leisure Services Man- ager. H.R. Cook, the Center's new general manager for SMG was introduced and spoke in support of the Center's viability and economic impact. Grand River Center (Conference Center): Marie Ware, Leisure Services Manager. The City Council had discussion with the representatives of "I each department/fol- lowing their'respective presentations. Following' the `r Park and " Recreation -Divi son's presentations, Park and Recreation Commission Kate Lar son spoke in support of • staff and addressed decreased staffing and increased ":work levels, of today compared to previous decades. Rob McDonald spoke in support of. the ,Port of Dubuque Marina but questioned its amen- ities' economic sustainability Following the Five Flags Civic Center presentation, Holiday, Inn General Manager Norm Granback, " Five Flags Civic Center Commission > Members McKenzie "Hill and Bryce Parks, and Dubuque Symphony Orchestra Executive Director Mark,.Wahlert spoke in support of the Center's - viability and economic impact.
