Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the 2016 Asphalt
Overlay Access Ramp Project One was awarded on May 20, 2016, to Dan Arensdorf
Construction, Inc., in the amount of$85,380.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the 2016 Asphalt Overlay
Access Ramp Project One be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: 2016 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project One
The 2016 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project One will provide for the removal,
realignment and reconstruction of corner access ramps in the area of Burlington Street,
National Street, Primrose Street, Muscatine Street, Putnam Street, Broadway Street, Gay
Street, W 281h Street, Sabula Street, W 24th Street and Division Street. The project will
coincide with the Public Works Department Street Overlay Program.
The following is a summary of bids received for the 2016 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp
Project One:

Dan Arensdorf Construction, Inc. $ 85,380.00
Midwest Concrete, Inc. $ 93,773.00
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on May 20, 2016 to Dan Arensdorf Construction, Inc. of Dubuque, Iowa, in the
amount of$85,380.00.
This portion of the funding will be funded as follows:
