Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Grand River
Center Concourse and River Room Carpet Replacement Project was awarded on
July 6, 2016, to Commercial Flooring, in the amount of $79,920 for Bid 1, $20,295 for
Bid 2 and $7,765 for Bid 3.
Leisure Services Manager Marie Ware recommends that the award for the Grand River
Center Concourse and River Room Carpet Replacement Project be officially recorded in
the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

The Grand River Center Concourse and River Room Carpet Replacement Project will
provide for replacement of the carpet in the ballroom. The concourse and river room
carpets are on a replacement schedule and were in need of replacement.
The following is a summary of the bids received for the project:

awarded on July 6, 2016 to Commercial Flooring of Dubuque, Iowa in the amount of
$79,920.00 for Bid 1, $20,295.00 for Bid 2 and $7,765.00 for Bid 3.
