Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Grand River
Center Air Wall Project was awarded on July 20, 2016, to Folding Partition Services, in
the amount of$74,954.
Leisure Services Manager Marie Ware recommends that the award for the Grand River
Center Air Wall Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: Grand River Center Air Wall Project CIP 350-2112
DATE: July 20, 2016
The Grand River Center Air Wall Project will provide for re-upholstery of the air walls in
the ballroom and meeting room. The air walls upholstery is original to the building and
is in need of reupholstering due to staining, rips and normal wear and tear.
The following is a summary of the quotes received for the project:

Allied Construction Services $ 80,214.00 $ 85,546.00
Folding Partition Services $ 40,781.00 $ 34,173.00
Modernfold received the project information and declined to give a quote as their
business is new construction and not maintenance such as re-upholstery.
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on July 20, 2016 to Folding Partition Services in the amount of$74,954.00.
The project is funded as follows:

In accordance with the competitive quotation requirements of Iowa Code, Section 26.14,
