Meeting Called to Order | The Annual Budget Meeting mfthe Dubuque County EmergencyK8moagemmemt Commission was called toorder at7:03 p.rn. bvChairperson Mike VVuertzec Chair Wwertzerwelcomed everyone tothe meeting and thanked them for attending. Determination of Quorum Sign in sheets were distributed with two sign in sheets. One sheet was for the elected officials with the voting authority for their jurisdiction and another for non-voting attendees of the commission. After introductions itwas determined that we had a quorum with 18 of 23 jurisdictions represented by elected officials. There were also 2Uother non-voting members present. Approval of��~��u�}s of the February 4�w 2015 ��ee�@�� ~ . — A motion was made by Jim Wessels,second by Mayor Burger to approve the minutes from the February 0,2015 annual meeting aspresented. Motion carried. Proofs of Publication ~ Notice of Public Hearing— FYI.6 Proposed Budget Amendment and Proposed FY17 Budget A motion was made by Supervisor Demmer,second by Mayor Beringer to receive and file the proof of publication. Motion carried. Public Hearing - FY16 Proposed Budget Amendment Chair Wuertzer opened the public hearing on the proposed FY16 budget amendment. EMA Director Berger presented the FY16 proposed budget amendment during the public hearing. The budget is being amended due to the replacement of the EMA vehicle with the money being allocated from the reserve designated line. Comments received from the commission. No comments from the public. A motion was made by Mayor Hefel,second by Mayor Recker to close the public hearing. Motion carried. Adaption of FY16 Budget Amendment A motion was made by Mayor Wuertzer,second by Sheriff Vrotsos to approve the FY16 budget amendment. Motion carried. fi Public Hearing- FY17 Proposed Budget Chair Wuertzer opened the public hearing on the proposed FY17 EMA Commission Budget. EMA Director Berger presented the proposed budget and thanked the budget committee for their work in preparing the budget. Comments and questions were answered from the commission. No public comment. A motion was made by Mayor Mescher and second by Mayor Gassman to close the public hearing. Motion carried. I Adoption of FY17 Budget F A motion was made by Mayor Willenborg and second by Councilman Hentges to approve the FY17 Budget as published and presented. Motion carried. Ending Balance Designation A motion was made by Mayor Behnken,second by Mayor Recker to designate ending fund balances for FY16 of $5,000.00 for vehicle replacement and$6,000.00 for computer replacement and to designate ending fund balances for i FY17 of$10,000 for vehicle replacement and$7,000 for computer replacement. Motion carried.
