SUBJECT: Request to Eliminate One Truck Driver Position and Create One Utility
Worker Position in the Public Works Department
DATE: August 25, 2016
Due to a vacancy in the Truck Driver position, Personnel Manager Randy Peck
recommends City Council approval to retitle the position of Truck Driver to Utility Worker
in the Public Works Department. The rate of pay remains the same as Truck Driver and
the duties are unchanged.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

On July 18, 2016, the City Council approved retitling the position of Truck Driver to
Utility Worker. The rate of pay remains the same as Truck Driver and the duties are
unchanged. Due to a vacancy in the Truck Driver position, I am requesting that the City
Council approve a motion eliminating one Truck Driver position and create one Utility
Worker position in the Public Works Department.
