Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the 2016 Asphalt
Overlay Access Ramp Project Two was awarded on August 17, 2016, to Midwest
Concrete, Inc., in the amount of $78,696.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the 2016 Asphalt Overlay
Access Ramp Project Two be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: 2016 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project Two
The 2016 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project Two will provide for the removal,
realignment and reconstruction of corner access ramps in the area of Southway and Dana
Drive, Southway and Key Way Drive, Delmonaco Drive and Key Way Drive, Delmonaco
and Venture Court, Dana Drive and Delmonaco, Lenox Street and Pennsylvania Avenue,
Illinois Avenue and Pennsylvania, Enid Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Enid Street and
Illinois Avenue, Alpha Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Ohio Street and Pennsylvania
Avenue, Ohio Street and Illinois Avenue, Illinois Avenue and Drexel Avenue and Drexel
and Pennsylvania. The project will coincide with the Public Works Department Street
Overlay Program.
The following is a summary of the one bid received for the 2016 Asphalt Overlay Access
Ramp Project Two:

Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on August 17, 2016 to Midwest Concrete, Inc. of Peosta, Iowa, in the amount of
$78,696.00.
This portion of the funding will be funded as follows:
