Proclamation Volunteer Rec WekPROCI AMATION
WHEREAS, National Volunteer Week is held April 21-27, 2002 in the United
States; and
WHEREAS, this year's theme is "Celebrate the American Spirit - VOLUNTEER;"
.and
WHEREAS,
Dubuque has many hardworking, selfless volunteers who are
committed to work without pay to achieve greater good in our
community; and
WHEREAS, the Carnegie Stout Public Library has over 100 individuals who
volunteer and contribute many hundreds of hours; and
WHEREAS,
theannual Volunteer Recognition Dinner is scheduled for Thursday,
April 25, 2002 to give sincere appreciation to all these volunteers at
the Carnegie Stout Public Library.
NOW THEREFORE, I, TERRANCE M. DUGGAN, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA DO HEREBY PROCLAIM THE WEEK OF APRIL 21-27, 2002 AS:
"VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION WEEK"
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA.
