Present: Mayor Buol; Council Members Con- nors, Del Toro, Lynch, Resnick, Rios; City Manager Van Milligen, City Attorney Brumwell Absent: Council Mem- ber Jones Mayor Buol read the call and stated this is a special session of the City Council called for the purpose of con- ducting a work session on the USDA Natural Resources Conserva- tion Service Conserva- tion Innovation Grant and a closed session regardingreal estate transfer negotiations. WORK SESSION USDA Natural Resour- ces Conservation Serv- ice - Conservation In- novation Grant: Water Plant Manager/Engi neer Denise Ihrig intro- duced the work session on the Conservation In- novation Grant through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Re- sources Conservation Service. The work session con- cluded. Motion by Connors to convene in closed ses- sion at 7:18 p.m. to dis- cuss real estate trans- fer negotiations pur- suant to Chapter 21.5(1)(j) Code of Iowa. Seconded by Del Toro. Mayor Buol stated for the record that the at- torney who will consult with City Council on the issue to be dis- cussed in the closed session is City Attorney Crenna Brumwell. Mo- tion carried 6-0. Upon motion, the City Council reconvened in open session at 8:19 p.m. stating that staff had been given proper direction.
