Mark Dolson.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Kathy McMullen (Vice-Chair), Sr. Carol Hoverman.
OTHERS PRESENT: Craig Nowack, City of Dubuque
JTigges called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.
Acceptance of the Agenda
Upon a motion by Vincent, seconded by RTigges the agenda was approved 4 - 0.
Approval of the Minutes of September 7, 2016
Upon a motion by Vincent, seconded by RTigges, minutes of the September 7, 2016, meeting were
approved 4 - 0.
Mark Dolson arrived at 4:09 p.m.
Public Input
There was no public input.
Tour of New Production Facilities
Nowack provided a brief overview of the new facilities to produce HD telecasts from the City Council
Chambers. He noted the additional cameras, speakers, and flat panel monitors in the Council
Chambers. In the Media Room, he presented the new switcher, equipment racks, and multi-view
monitors. The communication between the switcher and media decks was featured in a
demonstration of the instant, automatic starting of the video playback when the media deck was taken
to air. Nowack also noted some issues, such as the non-functioning Compix character generator and
the inability to get PowerPoint presentations into the broadcast switcher, which are still being
addressed.

Cable TV Report
Nowack provided a quick overview of recent and upcoming productions.

Upon a motion by Maloney, seconded by Dolson, the meeting was adjourned at 4:32 p.m.
